The Duck isn't just adorable — it was built with purpose, by a mum and early childhood development expert who was frustrated by toys that were either purely decorative or outgrown in weeks. Every single element of The Duck has a developmental job to do, mapping to five key milestones in your baby's first year.
From the bold, high-contrast black and white patterns that train tiny eyes to focus and track movement, to the varied textures that build fine and gross motor skills as little hands reach, grasp and explore — it's all intentional. Handmade in Melbourne using primarily Australian-sourced materials (with a Remnant Range crafted from fashion offcuts that would otherwise go to landfill), this is a toy that's been thought through from every angle. Machine washable, Montessori-aligned, and maternal and child health nurse recommended — The Duck is the one thing in the toy basket that genuinely earns its place, from the very first wake window all the way through to independent play.

Hello! I'm Juliet 👋
I am a mum of two, former nanny and early childhood educator — and the owner of Clover Duck.
I started designing and sewing when my nephew was born. I wanted to make him something that wasn't overstimulating for those early newborn days, but that would actually grow with him — supporting his development without needing to be replaced every few weeks.
So I created The Duck. Every single one is handmade by me, in my home studio in Melbourne.
And the name is inspired by my pet duck, Clover — who, honestly, brought me just as much joy as I hope these bring you and your baby.
